Default engine removal 89 chevy van

Hello, just throwing a question out there for anyone willing to answer. Pulling the engine out of my 89 van (engine only) and I read somewhere that the 3 torque converter bolts needed to be removed. I'm curious if transmission fluid will leak out all over and if I need to drain the transmission fluid ? Thank you

the torque convertor would stay in the tranny jut undo the bolts stick a bar between torque and block give it a little push back and pull the engine out you should be ok as long as the torque convertor stays in the bell housing
