engine stalls after 5 minutes
Hi everyone. I'm new today because I need some help. I have a 83 K10 w/ 350. I havemade some upgrades to the motor: Edelbrock intake and Carb (600), headers, and an MSD 6AL. My truck seems to not want to start on a normal basis, and when it does, it will stall after revving the engine and goosing it. Any suggestions? ***Update*** After letting the truck sit for a couple hours, I went out to start it and it fired right up. I let it sit at idle without revving it this time to see how long it would run. It ran for about five minutes, or about as long for me to go inside and check this website for any replies, and then it just quit.

Sounds like your engine is getting choked out, the air fuel mixture could be too lean. You may need to make some adjustments to your air/fuel ratio.
What kind of choke do you have (manual or automatic)?

48Fan,
I have an automatic choke. Could you please give me more guidance on what the proper way to adjust the air and fuel mixture...Which one is on the left and which one is on the right...Where should the choke be set...etc. Thanks
