Default Engine swap help

Ok, I have a 1992 silverado 5.7L. I want to swap the motor into a '86 buick regal in place of the 3.8L. I'm wanting to know what i'll need from the truck to have the motor run as is in the buick i.e. computer and all or is my only bet changing the 5.7 over to a carb?

1. Computer and wiring harness.
2. In the regal you ll need to get 305 v8 motor mounts for the monte carlo(same platform g body)
3. Transmission, you ll need that. only GMC and Chevy had the 700-R4. BOP cars have the 200-4R. The bellhousing and the block wont line up otherwise.
4. Use the same tailshaft on the 700-R4 but use the Regal driveshaft because its the right length. Or maybe you ll have to customize one, depending on length of tranny tail.
