Default Fact or Fiction

I've heard that stock headers from a 79 camaro 350 will fit directly onto a 1995 350 engine if so is it a better sound then aftermarket headers for the same engine that are already on it and if there is a good cheap way to plug the hole for the o2 sensor what is it

Hello again Baker Smith, I see that you have yet again registered with another phony handle.
I just don't understand why you continue to do this. Try to sway our good Users away from the Forum and imply there is no competent people who would advise someone.
Why don't you just give it up, and take your snide innuendoes somewhere else.

To address the first question:

On the broad assumption that you are switching headers from

one chevy "L" designated small block V8 to another, the headers

should fit the engine. Whether the headers will fit in the unspecified

1995 vehicle is another question. IF the vehicle is either larger, or

the same basic body type, the headers may also fit into the other

vehicle body.

As to a "better sound" that's all a matter of personal opinion and

conjecture. Personally, I'd be more concerned with how well the headers

sponge heat off the engine. But I was never into turning money into

noise, personally.

There's two approaches to covering the 02 sensor hole. One would be find

hardware with matching threads to the old sensor. Two, and my favorite,

would be to leave the sensor in the hole.

Forgot to say its a 95 k1500 silverado

the previous owner did a swap from another 95 of the same model and never put the o2 sensor back on I'm still getting 16 mpg and good power I just want a better fit and my uncle said I could have the headers he recently bought for his camaro because they are stock for a 350 when he ordered a different kind

You could always just get a new O2 sensor at a parts store...
