Find my gear ratio in my suburban
Hello. Trying to figure out the gear ratio in my suburban. Just purchased it. The rear end is out. Wanting to get a used one to swap it. Dont have the info in the glove box. The vehicle isnt at my house yet. Here is my VIN 3GKFK16R0XG552222. It's a 99 4x4 GMC suburban. Can anyone help? Thank you!

GK9 Rear Axle: 4.63 Ratio
GTY Axle Wide Track
GT4 Rear Axle: 3.73 Ratio
GT5 Rear Axle: 4.10 Ratio
GU4 Rear Axle: 3.08 Ratio
GU6 Rear Axle: 3.42 Ratio
G80 Rear Axle: Positraction
HC4 Rear Axle: 4.56 Ratio
HC7 Rear Axle: 5.13 Ratio
Chances are that you have a 3.08/3.42/3.73/ or 4.10 ratios. Simple way, assuming the axle doesn't have tag on i'd is to mark your and driveshaft and tire with crayon or white out
Count revolution of driveshaft as tire meets the beginning first rotation, Divide that number in get your axle ratio.
