Default First SBC 350 rebuild, for a 94 silverado.

Alright guys, this is probly a dumb question here but I'm trying to figure out if I actually need the right angle oil filter adaptor for this engine to fit in the truck.
short version, my 94 silverados engine Is worn TF out and having multiple issues. So I decided to cut my losses and use it as an excuse to finally learn how to build and engine and decided to build one from the block up. She's nothing fancy, just flat top camaro pistons and a stage 2 came(it cost 10 bucks more than stock so I figured why not) for a little extra umph.

currently I'm stuck trying to find out about 2 micro things and Google hasn't coughed up any answers.

1: do I actually need guide plates for my push rods? Im not using roller rockers, just the bog standard rockers and heads.and it doesnt seem like i need them given how tight of a fit they are.

And 2: do I need the right angle oil adaptor or will a normal one suffice? The one on the engine currently in my truck is a right angle adaptor, which makes sense seeings as the 4wd drive shaft is directly underneath the oil filter. At the same time though it looks like there should be enough room for the filter to mount vertically, but im sure the adaptor is there for a reason. Now if i DO need the adaptor it seems I'm going to have to go hunting around a bone yard for one since it seems to be a discontinued part, not even summit has one, unless I'm just missing it somewhere.

Any and all help would be appreciated seeings as im quicikly running out if time to get this done before winter hits. Didn't think it would take all summer to do this but I also didn't think it would take almost 3 months to get my block back from the machine shop. Lesson learned.
