First time posting.. 1989 chevy g20 van problem
I have a 1989 chevy g20 van conversion that will not stay running. It dies if I'm not pumping the gas. I can get on the freeway and be fine until it's time to get off. I have read everything on the net and it seems like everyone starts at the fuel pump then replace a list of thing until they give up or hit something that works for them. I'm not into wasting time or money so I came here to get the pros to help. I read that the oil pressure switch can malfunction causing the fuel pump to stop working. Is that where I should begin.. the oil pressure switch? Is there a way to check it? I'm no mechanic I recently replaced the starter. It was pretty easy but i dont want to push my luck. I dont know the first thing about any of this I'm learning as I go. I do know im not going to start replacing things and hope one one works that just make no sense to me. A girl's gotta try if she has no other options right? Thanks in advance.. peace out
