Default Flickering Parking Brake Warning Light

I have a 2000 Silverado Ext Cab Z71. Recently the red brake warning light has started to flickersporadically and a test of the parking brake switch failed to correct the problem. There is no problem with the fluid level andfront and rear brakes are relatively new. Any assistance or ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks
Paul

might be a problem with the sensor's on each wheel gm had a problem with corosion on the sensor reading sorface on the roror's ,but i think this only affected the abs function . i would check for any tbs 's oa recall's ,but you might have to have some one put a scanner on it and read it for falt's !good luck .

Could also be the brake fluid level sensor or it's associated wiring.
