don't go 16.5, theres almost no good tires out there for 16.5" rims.

I have heard of people grinding down the inside of the 15" rim to clear the caliper, But I don't know how much that affects the strength of the rim.

Yea but when you need to buy new tires theres less options and the prices are more money. I was very close to buying a set of old H1 rims that were 16.5" and had 38" wrangler rt 2's on them. The tires were pretty awesome and he only wanted 200 for all four. But after searching for replacement tires I decide it wasnt worth it. Plus I had to get the H1 wheels recentered, they were nice tho...full beadlocks.
