Ford timing on a chevy - not good
If someone installed a new timing chain set on a 81 Chevy 350, but sets the TDC to a Ford #1.
meaning it’s actually cyl #2 on the Chevy, then uses some Ford firing order. Does that not mean it cannot be reset to stock Chevy timing firing seq. without re-aligning the timing chain dot to dot on the TDC of the Chevy #1 cyl. and re-installing the plug wires to stock Chevy order, as well as reseating the distributor to stock position pointing to Chevy cyl #1? The distributor is twisted around like a Ford and a mark on the HEI housing is pointing to Cyl #2. I don’t know why someone would do this, or if the chain was set to TDC #2, but it would haft to be I think? It is missing on distributor wire at cyl. #1 & #3. How can I fix this ? Thanks
