Many years (decades) ago i used to do it myself, we lived in a remote area with no shops around.
I did a little online search and couldn't find any tools for DIY front wheel alignment. Is it nowadays considered something one cannot do by himself?

Oh, for $150 I'll get two sticks and tie them together. Thanks for reply. Rest goes for charity ... erm, beer that is. You are invited.

Hi Segfault,
Welcome to the Chevy Forums.
Generally, the tools, parts, and experience needed for alignments lend themselves to doing many alignments, not just one, or a couple.
But if you have the knowhow, specs, determination, and minimal tools needed,(and you're willing to bet yourself a brand new set of tires you can do it right) it's not exactly rocket science.
