Smile fuel gage problem

Hi my fuel gage goes right up past full when I start my 1991 s10 sonoma...I just recently purchased this show truck with a 350 already in it.....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....thanks

Since you posted about speeometer problem, these two MAY be related. I'd suggest look for wire issue as in a bad ground. The sensing unit (I believe) reads to ground through it, both could be a common problem.
