Default Fuel Gauge
My fuel gauge will float from time to time in my 1985 Chevy truck C10. Would this be the gauge or the float?

The float. 90 percent of the time its the gas level float, not the gauge at fault. Not really a huge issue really. In fact its pretty common. I wouldn't worry about it.
