fuel guage

Default fuel guage

my 2000 gmc the gas gauge goes from full to empty every few minutes and when it goes to empty of course the low fuel light comes on any help would be great.

that might have something to do with your sending unit in the tank?

ground wire on the sending unit, the sending unit its self, the wire harness, or the gauge might be junk. with out being there to look at it i cant really tell you what it might be.
