Default FUEL PUMP

I have a 97 with a 5.7,around 87k miles.had been running fine.Today a lady ran into the back of me,no real damage she just hit the hitch.Now the fuel pump is not coming on when i turn on the ignition.is ther a saftey switch somewhere(reset) or did it just kill the fuel pump?thanks in advance for any help.

as far as i know there isnt a safety switch, but if your fuel pump doesnt work try your fuel pump relay under your hood... that when bad after i got rear-ended

took it apart today and the fuel pump was shorted out,also burnt up the harness from the sending unit and they dont offer just the harness so i had to buy another sending unit too.pump-163.00 strainer-11.00 sending unit-345.00 owning a chevy,not so priceless!!!!!!!!!

try the fuel shutof switch...I dont know if you have a car or truck but it will be in the trunk by the hinges behind the panelsor inside the kick panals in the cab
