they charge 1 hour labour time for programming which is pretty reasonable. go get an old bmw trans programmed...they will charge you 3 to 4 hrs.

 

One hour for 15 minutes work tops! And at what rate - $140 per hour and up? If you buy the part there, the programming should come with it.

 

how should a company pay for their equipment; bill it all out to the first person and everyone after that gets it free? the fee pays for the equipment and the persons wage to program it. If you don't like it; go buy a $2500 programming interface and spend $60 to buy the programming from gm.
