Default fuel pumps new vs used adv./ disadv.

My fuel pump just went out on my 2001 chevy malibu v6 3.1L.I amcontimplating spending the money on a new one seeing as the car is hardly used and has quite a few miles on it. What are the advantages and disadvantages of buying a new one versus buying a used one. I am a college student with limited funds so a 65 dollar used fuel pump is looking a lot more attractive then something upwards of 200 bucks...just wondering if the fuel pump would even hold out long enough for it to be worth the 65 bucks.

thanks for any help oradvice anyone can give!

Justin

Its a gamble....a used one could last 2 days, or it could last for 2 years. You make the call

+1 Just go and buy a new one. You might be thinking that you would be able to save money by buying a used one but once it gets broken you'll realize that you would be better off buying a new one instead.
