Default Fuel sender

OK need a little help with this; so I am no longer running the computer in the truck anymore. I am trying to figure out the 3 wires on the fuel sender for the tank.

PPL wire - is the fuel gauge
BLK/W wire -
grey wire -

the other two wires go to the computer, trying to figure out if I have to use both of the wires or I can just use one to turn the fuel pump on. I know that I will have to connect a switch to the wire so I can turn the fuel pump on manually.

Any Ideas?

a lot of gm products of that age use the grey wire for power to the f/p but I haven't verified that for your truck.

so how is the setup going to work? you have gone back to a carb and want to run an electric f/p?

Default fuel pump wire

The only big thing I changed on the fuel line; put a fuel regulator and gauge to see how much fuel is flowing through the line. so I can control the fuel flow. I know that the pump pushes more fuel out then I want.

I think I will use a switch to turn on/off the fuel pump hoping that will work, the truck had the small 4.3 engine/w a manual and I drop in a 383 stroker motor and kept the same transmission.
