I have a 140k(we owned the past 50k) on the stand I'll be installing in a 4wd S10(Yippie!) I got. I know the 3.1's are notorious! Also wondering if I should/could just pickup some standard main & rod bearings and simply throw them in since I have to swap pans anyways??? Decisions-Decisions...trying to watch the pennies but also would hate to encounter one of these failures once installed...HELP!

 

I have never had too or seen one done on a 4.3

 

well I ended up tearing down and cleaning. Glad I did too!
