Talking HEI Ignition issue

CHEVY 305. Issue as follows: Having switched off, will NOT restart. Have to change module. Thinking of replacing distributor with either 50K OR 60K coil. Does it make a difference which one I choose? Or should I keep old distributor and purchase a HIGH END module instead. ALL suggestions are welcomed.

Never was a fan of HEI. You can find a good replacement
at Summit Racing.

Might want to check your coil. I had an 89 Caprice with a 305 that would not start after running, but only after it had rained. Found a very small crack in the coil tower's insulator that was allowing itself to ground out.

I had an 82 that had a pickup coil insulation wear through, same issue. The module at that time frame was $50. It is a real bear to replace that pickup coil. Might look at another system as those are expensive, however once they are correctly running, you won't have issues with it for quite sometime.
