Default HELP 1988 Corsica - Oil MIL problem

I've got a 1988 Corsica with the 2.8L V6 engine. Whenever I push on the brake, the oil 'low pressure' light comes on. It only does this when the engine is fully warmed up; after 10-15 miles. My first thought was a bad sending unit, but I cant find the dang thing. Another idea was a bad oil pump. It doesn't leak/burn oil and it isn't low. Any ideas? Thanks.

You need to perform a mechanical oil pressure test.

That light will come on when your oil level is low as well. When you brake, the oil moves away from the oil level sensor in the pan, causing the light to come on. It serves a dual purpose.

If your oil level is to the top, you have a pressure problem. If it is near the bottom of the add zone, you'll likely solve the problem by topping it off.
