Hello everyone new to this but I’m in a pickle. On vacation and on the way my wife’s 2012 3.0 Equinox started missing bad. It has did it before but very randomly. It’s kind of a low RPM miss 1,200-2,200. It idles fine and fine when you step on it and make it down shift it’s also fine. Had the codes pulled and the only one is the P0300 so at a shot in the dark I changed coils and plugs and had ran multiple cleaners thru fuel and using shell fuel. The old plugs I changed 35,000 mi ago and were OEM were shot but like I said the miss is still there I need help quick and no one can get it in before we have to go home. Any ideas would be helpful thanks. As I said it’s a 2012 Equinox LTZ 3.0 AWD P.S. It does seem to get worse after you get on it hard a couple times but it goes fine at WOT or Idle.

 

My take is either fuel, or fuel delivery. Yes I read the post. Did you replace the fuel filter, and check the fuel pressure?

 

No as I’m on vacation tools are limited if it was fuel pressure wouldn’t it get worse at WOT I’ve had fuel filters clog on other vehicles in which case it was bad when you gave it a lot of fuel. This is terrible when your on flat to a very slight grade like I said low RPMS 1,200-2,200 above that it’s fine. The car does have 131,xxx mi never had much trouble. I changed the plugs and coils late last night test drove seemed fine drove this morning seemed fine then this evening back to missing.

 

is it better when engine is cold?

 

It may be slightly better when cold. I also cleaned the mass air today put Techron cleaner still doing it but may not be as bad more driving will only tell but definitely still doing it.

 

Did you ever find the issue/ get it fixed? I’m having the same issue in my equinox too! Same year and specs too. Please any advice will help. I’ve replaced all the coils and plugs too. My battery charging station light comes on momentarily , I’m losing power up hill and it kinda slightly chugs, I lost sound for 30 mins and it came back, my lights flicker when I push on the gas, I’m getting 18 MPG , and now have a misfire.
