A 1977 350 motor will be a low-compression SMOG carbureted, low-horsepower motor. Best to change the heads out to Vortec heads and install a manifold fitted for the 1988 TBI fuel injection in the Chevy Caprice. You will likely need to put a newer ECM controlled distributor in the build. Better cam is optional, but I'd use a Cloyes timing chain. Ain't nothing better then a Cloyes timing chain set in your vehicle. Rear-wheel drive cars Rock !!!
