I have looked at a bunch of websites and forums and I can't find any help with identify my small block. I was told from the person that I got the block from, that it is a 302 Z28 block. I have had this block for a few years and have never done anything with it. I was going to build it for a 1/8 mile car, but I'm into racing bikes now. This block have some numbers stamped on it that I just can't seem to track down....HELP!!! The cast number is 3970010. That number matches the 1967 Z28 302 block. But the partial VIN is the one that is tripping me up. Here is a pic of the partial VIN. Can anyone help on this please? Thanks.
