You guys give the kid some room. I've seen some damn hot 6's back in the day. Those 292 and 301 GMC's can still burn up the track (if you can find one). Why not try one or a hopped-up 235 even?

thanks well i have a 235 in mine right now. it also runs and sound really pretty good. it also is in good shape for sitting in a field for 2 years. i dont have the money to hop it up at this point but i have some really big plans for it.

If they're set up right, they'll crush ya with the torque off the line. When the Mustangs first came out in '64, all you could get was a straight six, but they were killin' people from light to light on the street.

my ole man got three 235's with fenten header's over drive's one has a 4 barrel 4360 holly carb and they wont die .one is in a 1960 el cameno and it's got a three speed overdrive 4:11 gears and a flat tappet dirt track cam in it and with the lash on the valve's set tight it rock's and roll's . i drove it to work one day and the school kid would listen to it and say " i never heard a v-8 sound like that before ".
