Default horsepower and its effects

Is there any way to calculate how much a certain amount of horsepower will affect 0-60 times or 1/4 mile times? (just curious) It would have to do something with curbweight, and stuff like that, right?

Default RE: horsepower and its effects

One horsepower = 745.7 watts or 33,000 footpounds per minute.

I dont know if there is a certain calculation to quartermile timebecause of all the variables involved like transmission gearing, rearend gearing, vehicle weight, torqueand all the other stuff.
