Default The Hot Car Act of 2016 and Chevy

For decades already an average of 37 kids (and way more pets, including police k9's!) die in US every year when forgotten in hot cars. Finally on 9/15/2016 the lawmakers stepped in with the Hot Car Act of 2016 that will soon make a reminder/lifesaver mandatory in every car on US roads. The automakers saw that coming and are now trying their best to be ready and outSMART the competition. But what I reviewed so far has nothing to do with the word SMART ...

For instance Tesla came up with the "less than 105°F" *solution*: Tesla keeps pets and kids cool with software update 8.0 . Yeah right, since it's a well-known fact that kids and pets are flourishing at 104°F ... And Chevy (Safety features promoted at Auto Show | WCNC.com) is proposing the "10 minutes rule" which just can’t be serious.

What is going on? I just wonder whether Chevy's New Product Dept. ever heard of the most reliable and affordable reminder: Never Forget Us!
