Default HUD retrofit for 2016 Suburban

I want to replace the Collision Warning Unit (CWU) with a Heads Up Display (HUD). My question is....Is the wiring harness for the CWD able to support the functionality of the HUD? Is there a wiring harness tucked away near the left vent panel to support the HUD switch?

i doubt it. most wiring harnesses past 06 do not have connectors for options the vehicle was not equipped with originally. this is because all the modules are on a network. if you need a hud, the best bet is an aftermarket kit.

Sometimes there are options the dealer can add...ie heated seats. remote start....phone the dealer and see if they have a hud kit.

Thanks for the warning. I reached out to the techs at GMPartsDirect asking them what are the build codes for my VIN, and if it is even a remote possibility that this is possible and if so, do I need to reprogram "the network". I will get back to you if the answers are yes and then will post some pics.
