Default HVAC fuse keeps blowing

I have a 99 Monte Carlo LS. The HVAC 15 amp fuse keeps blowing. I thought itmight be my blower motor of the resistor but it only happenswhen my automatic headlights come on in the evening. Obviously the automatic headlights are wired to the fuse, but how do I go about correcting the problem.

You could still have a blower motor or resistor issue. Blower motor could be pulling to many amps ,but not enough to pop fuse until headlamp load is added. You're gonna have to isolate it to headlamps or blower/resistor.

Try removing the DRL module. Its under thedrivers side of the dash. The module may be shorting internally causing your fuse to blow. With the module removed, the right high beam will not work, but at least you can narrow the problem down a little further

bad blower motor itself would blow the blower motor fuse and also have toasted that resistor. either the motor itself is bad, or theres debris in the box which has jammed the blower motor.
