I need advice ! 2014 1.8L Chevy Cruze
This is honestly a handful explaining over a text without sounding stupid. Long story short, I put in a plug & play aftermarket touch screen radio into my 2014 1.8L Chevy Cruze. (Automatic) I believe it fried my ECM, which has triggered my Anti-Theft. (But I’m not sure, that’s why I’m coming here). So now, in order to get out of gear, I have to manually press the release button. As well as doing that, to get my key out, I manually have to press the release button in the space under the steering wheel.. using a flathead. I have took everything apart, checked all my fuses, my ignition lock cylinder, the shifter & everything else. Chevrolet wants to charge me $160 an hour to run a full diagnostic, at a minimum of 4 hours without guarantee they find what’s wrong with it. I wanted to come here for any advice, or suggestion. I have looked everywhere, I’ve called auto shops & dealerships, they have no clue.

did you buy a connector harness so its plug and play or hard wire it in?
the problem is if you spliced into a bus wire. the factory radio is part of a multiplexed bus circuit. Hard for anyone to say without knowing what you did. Can you post a diagram of what you spliced to what?
another option is to contact a shop that installs car stereo's. they work much cheaper and can correct anything wired wrong
