Default I need help about to remove a Lumina transmission

Hi!
Please help me..
The oil pump is damaged in the automatic transmission in my Lumina 3.1 V6 1992.

I have found the transmission removal instructions by GM, but i still dont understand how much i need to remove and what way the transmision is to be lifted out of the car?

So i have some questions:
1. Is it possible to remove the transmission without removing the engine from the car?
2. Anyone having a 'lazy dog' or anything else (preferably with pics) that i can follow?
3. Do i have to remove suspensions?
4. Is it enougth to loosen the steering ball joints to get out the drive axles?
5. do i lift the transmission out of the car or via the floor?
