L66 396 Questions
I have an L66 396 engine code JQ (1969 Pickup motor) in my 31 Ford Roadster. It has 1 3/4 inch headers and an edelbrock intake and Weber 4bbl. What are the differences in the L66 motor from the 325HP version that make it a 9.0 to 1 compression instead of the 10.25 to 1. Is it pistons, heads, or both?
