Question Laptop based scanner tools

Hi,
Does anyone have experience using the laptop based OBDII scanner tools and software? Any recommendations? Will they read all codes such as ABS wheel sensor codes or only power train codes?

Thanks!

I am going to get a gopoint cable that will allow me to hook my iphone up to a OBDII port and read and reset codes. Costs anywhere from $80 to $120 depending if you want hard wiring or bluetooth.
