Question lim slip from buick to monte

i was wondering if i could take the differential if not the whole rear end out of my buddies 84 buick park ave that has lim slip and put it into my 1985 monte carlo i do belive both cars have 10 bolt rear ends if posible i would rather do just the diff becuase if i am not mistaken the buick had a different bolt patern hes pulling out the 350 he has in the car and scrapping it and i want the lim slip sick of the one tire fire.... also am pulling off the from spindles and controll arms to upgrad to a 12 in break

well did a little research the monte has a 7.5 in ring and the buick has a 8.5 also montes had 26 spine axles and the buick can have any from 27 to 30 so going to do sum measurements to see if i can swap the whole rearend
