Default Load squeaking noise

1998 z71 I have good oil pressure an it idles fine but a squeaking noise is coming from engine oflr transmission it's not consistent some people told me it's a rod bearing or main but others tell me it's a flex plate or a backup program please help I don't want to have to replace the motor

are your sure it's not the belts (never be sure it's not the belts or something connected to the belts!)

did you check all your fluid levels by the book (when hot and off, but trans while running in neutral) ?

we need a youtube for audio, or a .WAV, not a .pdf

you can place a long screwdriver large end to ear point end on motor. it will help determine where the noise is. but it can be deceiving because infact noise bounces through the metal like waves through a pool - which at times makes what seems to be the source "not the source"
