lost my key
Try calling the manufacturer and give them a serial #, maybe they can send you a new key. I have drilled out key barrels before and had success, I am not sure if that will work on this application, but Id try that before torching it.
I'm a bit of a ditz when it comes to keys and paperwork and stuff. What I try to do is re-create the situation when I set the key(s) down. I ask myself"What's a good place to store a key I'll need later, but won't be using for a while?". Then I go look in those locations.
If that fails, there's always a grinder. If it'll work on your lock, it'll stress things under your truck less than a gas-wrench.

Ive always steered clear of torches, all that extra heat isnt good on metal. I have used many Ti drill bits and locks, its about 90% cheaper than a lock smith.
Calling the manufacture sounds like a good start tho, might save a drill bit.

had to switch hitches yesterday just took a torch to the lock. not the best idea but had to get it done. When I buy a new lock I'll put the keys in a better place. thanks for the advice though.
