I got a problem I lov my trusty 1994 Silverado I baught it as SGI total loss as I'm from Saskatchewan Canada and I was able to contact the last owner who purchased it from the original and its never had a heart a tac all original 5.7 4l60E 373 (293 000km) gears and it pulled some heavy 5th wheel trailers in its day a yet it still cranks out 17.8mpg highway at 110km/h at 2100 rpm and is rediculesly reliable but yet my 2013 Silverado has 5.3 H.O 326 HP 348TQ 342 gears but its 4x4 z71 same configurations extended cab s/box sept 13 is 4x4 and it only gets 13mpg at 110km/h (70mph) and it think the 94 has more low end sheer torque its a torquey old girl what gives with mpg the new truck is terrible I barley drive it the 94 still remains daily driver 13 is almost two years old and only 29 000km only gets 9 mpg in town

Well the 94 has stock wheel tire size the 13 has factory 18s with 32s and 2 3/4 inch lift the 94 is in very decent shape for the km on it and the age I'm saving to save the body shop redo the 94 need cab corners and complete bed sides most people say its not worth it but its bin such a good truck and I just love these 88/98 Chevy's I'm going to put my 13 up for sale soon as I get my 1994 redone I'm ashamed in these new GM trucks I personally think 2003 was last year of a good GM since they made the REAL 3500HD till then 02 for Canada and US but till 2003 for Mexico. I highly doubt I'll by another new GM product they just don't seem to care about quality like they use to

Had a1999 suburban 2wd with a 43 gallon tank.
The 5.7 sitting in that square box suburban got 20 mpg on the freeway at. 73 mph and 21 mpg at 66 mpg.
However it dropped to 14 or 15 in the city.
My 05 suburban z71 5.3 gets 16-17 mpg on the freeway and 14.7 mixed.
The 4x4 05 has a lot more weight and the front axle spins all the time( but not under load in 2wd)
I removed the heavy metal plates protecting the Underneath of of the 4x4 when working on it and left them off. The 2005 Z71 4x4 is a heavy pig and is geared slightly lower.
I sure if the weight was equal as my 99 it would get better milage. And if i could remove the front drive shaft it would be enen better!
It does sound like your 2013 is getting poor fuel milage even for a 4x4 truck!
Ive always had pride in a chevy trucks fuel milage!
I had an O5 power wagon that was getting the same milage as your truck; something is wrong with your truck. You sould see at least. 18-22 on the freeway. Something is wrong
