Hey guys, I took apart my quadrajet, started reassembly and i'm hung up on something. Theres a small plate, it's supposed to go on the shaft on the choke, links to the float valve. The problem is, i have a 1/4in by 7/16in hole i have to put it in, and i have to align it to the choke shaft without being able to touch it. Anyone who's delved into Rochester know how i'm supposed to get that plate in there? thnx.

 

I have worked on Q-junks but cant get it in my mind what goes from the choke shaft to the float??? A picture would be great.

 

If its the part that moves the lever on the choke to open you choke flaps i went to walmart and used hemostats to reach in the hole.its in fishing section.
