What is the main use of the motor? Id say to run pump gas with those iron heads your compression ratio will have to be 9.5; 1 or lower, also what cam are you goin to be running? As for pistons if the CR is 10;1 with 64cc heads then it will be roughly 10.4;1 with the 60cc. About every 1cc equals .1 on your CR on small blocks.

The motor is in my truck. It's just a daily driber. Right now Im running headers and an aluminum intake and I rebuilt the distributor with one of those advance kits that changes the springs. As far as cam I'm not sure exactly what I need in that aspect. I'd like something with like a 112 separation to give it a lope at idle. Yet like 230 on intake and exhaust so it still hws low end power. Giveeme some ideas though cause I could be making mywelf look like a fool. All I know about this is what I've read.

A good cam would probably be edlebrocks performer for a daily driver or something similar to it. It builds power from idle to 5500. It probably wont give your truck a hard lope but you will be able to tell it has a cam.
