I've got a 1980 Corvette that now has a 300HP GM crate engine and a Tremec 5 speed. I bought a "kit" when I put in the gear box, and while the transmission is great, many of the other components were not high quality. Now, after 8 years, the clutch slips and sticks, and needs replacement. I'm looking for suggestions for use in a daily driver, not raced, mid horse power, car.
I heard the way to go is an aluminum fly wheel. If there are opinions on that too, I'm listening. I don't need a 2- stage clutch. just something that will work well and not cost a fortune. I'll be keeping the mechanical linkage. Thanks.
