Default New Heads???

A buddy of mine has an 01 WS6 Trans-Am, he wants to sell the heads off of it. A little bout his car. He bought it for 10,000 back in 06 without a motor, it has a AWESOME after market suspension, thats why it cost so much. He built the motor hisself, and I've seen the Dyno papers, 550hp, with a screwed up tune. Now that the tune is right he says it pushing 625hp if not more. He's wanting to upgrade his heads again. It's a 6.0 block originally but is equivalent to 402ci, I wanna say around an 02 or 03. I've mainly just been B.Sing with him bout buying them so i don't have all the info. Everything will come with the heads, rods lifters, all that good stuff. And he'll help me install them. He says they will bolt right onto my block. I plan on getting more info soon. But in the time being, does anyone know if the heads will in fact bolt right on to my 6.0??? and do you have to buy a cam if the heads are made for a wild cam??? He wants $1500 for the heads, and I know it cost him at least 2300 to buy them.
I need to talk to him more, but just know this guy is very knowledgable, and he won't screw me over.

If the heads do bolt up you may still need different length lifters, you ould also need the tune to match the increased flow.

Would it still run without a tune?
I want the blackbear, but if I go with this head swap, I'm gonna have to have a shop do the tune.

It would still run but I don't know how well. The increased air flow will mess up the air/fuel mix. At least I think it would.

I may not go through with it due to time constraint. I don't wanna have to drive 1400miles in May with a new top-end that may or may not need more work.

I think I would stick with your current plans for the axle swap and let this one pass by.

That's what I'll do. These heads were just a passing fancy that I got excited about cause I could afford it for once.
