No oil pressure reading, 2004, Silverado
The Chilton manual is not leading me to the oil pressure sending unit. It shows it as metal and tubular that mounts behind the rear of the intake manifold. I removed the ductwork to the throttle body but don't see the sending unit.
It is a 4.3L automatic. Can anyone help me with this?
Sincerely, Jim

Hi Jim Omaha,
Welcome to the Chevy forums.
I don't know if this pertains to your particular vehicle or not, but generally speaking, the oil sender unit is located somewhere close to the oil filter. If all else fails, try searching around your oil filter, and see if you can spot the wire(s) or plug leading to the oil sender unit.

Hey thanks!
I really appreciate the helpful information. I will search again for it. Has anyone found the connection on the sending unit to be faulty? Or even the sending unit itself? I guess my reasoning is; I work with two other guys who have 2004 Silverados and they have experienced trouble with the stepper motors in the cluster assembly. Does this sound familier to anyone? Is this more likely the culprit?
I appreciate all information!
Sincerely, Jim
