I have checked the fuel pump fuse under the hood and it is good. I checked for spark and I didn't get any when I tried to start the truck. I hear a noise coming from the fuel pump when I turn the key over so I am pretty sure the fuel pump is good. What next?

 

Do you have an OBD I code? Dash light on?

 

I have a light that came on about a week ago that said check guages and my thermostat guage started going crazy

 

I doubt that would not allow ignition spark. You might have a bad coil or something else like corrosion going on with a no spark condition. You have an HEI distributor?\

Could be a bad ECM, those HEI's are famous for.
