No temperture tap after 3.1 engine swap
I have a 1995 Chevy lumnia with a 3.1 engine (it expired). I swaped it out with a 1998 Malibue 3.5 and am very pleased however I do not have a temperture gage. The 95 engine had a tap in the head nearest the firewall for the coolant heat sensor. The 1998 engine does not have a tap in the head nor can I find one. I don't want to drive it without a temp gage. Any suggestions will be appricated.

I think temperature gauge is extremely is non-linear.
It doesn't really tell you anything other than whether the
motor is in the normal range or if it's too hot. and only one of those
two pieces of information is actually important. A light can do that
job, probably better because you might actually pay attention!
