Oil Life
I have a 2016 Impala LT with 44,000+ miles. About 3,000 miles ago I changed to Mobil 1 synthetic oil however the oil life meter is now showing 32% oil life remaining as though it still had conventional oil in it.
Is there a way to have it read in accordance with the synthetic oil?

no. Use a windshield reminder sticker.
a 2016 should be using at minimum dexos semi-synthetic not conventional.
if you keep your vehicle for life; don't follow the oil life monitor at all. Use the severe conditions maitenance schedule in the owners manual. Oil life monitors are algorithm based and do not measure the condition of the oil. Just because its syn oil; detergents, modifiers still wear out, oil dulution and soot still build up and circulate in the oil at the same rate at conventional. I use full synthetic and change mine out at 6000 kilometers....never ever had a oil consumption problem.
At 6000km my oil is black as tar. That is my oil life monitor. I don't car what oil analysis says. For $40 for a oil and filter; it's worth it to me.

the oil/filter and do it. These new GM T-C engines won't hold up with Conventional oils. Buy good gasoline too, because you cant change the fuel filter either.
