Default Oil pressure/temp port

hi guys trying to figure out if this is for sure a active port and if it is how do I get this plug thing out? From what I’ve found it should be able to have a oil pressure sensor put in but I cannot figure out how to get the plug out. Any help would be greatly appreciated

We need lots more information then you have provided here. What year, model, mileage and so forth is your Chevrolet? Most all cars have an oil pressure sensor, so why doesn't yours?

It is on a 75 Vette. In the older SBC the oil pressure sensor was here but then it was moved up by the distributor. I am looking to install and oil temp sensor in this location. Yes I could tee off of the oil pressure sensor but it would look cleaner down here out of the way.

The plug is made of steel, I take it? Are you certain that that is where the oil pressure sensor in mounted on other Corvette'? If so, I suppose a drill and an "easy-out" might remove it.

Oil pressure sensor should be the last thing in line of the system, in other words, the last thing before the filter return.
