Default Please help me

Hi there Guys im new to the forum! i came here to get some help cause the first thing i can tell you im not to good with vehicles so please bare with me. Ok i have a 1988 chevy s10 2.8L v6 2 door ext cab truck 4x4 and i need some help with the turn signal problem im having. Ok here is what its doing when i turn the key on and i put the turn signal on like im turning left and it blinks like it should and whens its blinking the dash lights blink with it so i got out of the truck and i went in front of the truck and i seen the left and right turn signals were blinking at the same time so i went to the back of the truck and they were blinking also and also the licence plate lights were blinking as well so when i had the left turn signal on i turned the headlights on and the turn signal stayed solid it wasnt blinking anymore it just stayed solid so i turned the headlights off and it started to blink agian. So i turned the turn signals on to the right and that side was fine the only ones were working is the right side like they should the only side im haveing trouble with is the left side. And another thing if i have the truck shut off and the turn signals off when i hit the brake the dash lights come on also i have everything off. Now can anyone please help me out on this? Is there a short anywhere if so where is the first place to check im not really good with wires but if someone can help me through this that will be really great thanks Guys and hope to hear from ya..

I would check all the grounds first.
A ground is the black cable coming off the battery to the body & engine.
Any wires that come off the chassis wiring harness that go to the body I would tighten to make sure they are tight.
And under the dash bu the fuss panel if there are any grounds to the body there make sure they are tight.

Charge the battery & then load test it.
if it fails the load test replace it.
Check to make sure your alternator belt on on & tight.
Check the charging system.
After you charge the battery, if it is good your car should turn over & start.
