popping 1 fuse that kills my dash and hazard lights
1981 Chevy C10, auto, SBC 350
i've gone over all my wiring, and nothing looks like its come undone or bad connections anywhere since i changed my steering column. used to blow all fuses, signals and everything, but that has stopped happening. now my issue is that i have a tail light not working. my passenger side, the brake and signal part of the bulb doesn't work, the running light works (when the fuse isn't popped), and also the reverse light works. when the truck is in park and i pull my lever to turn on my dash lights/hazard lights, they come on, but it seems as soon as i put the truck in drive and start driving, the fuse pops. only lights that work after that are my headlights, and the one brake light on my driver's side. passenger brake light doesn't work period (bulb is good, please don't suggest it. i've tried several different ones).
if you have any suggestions as to why it may be popping and how to fix it, i would appreciate any and all help as i would like to drive my truck at night.

everything is grounded and secured and cleaned up. one thing i have noticed, when i put in a new fuse and i'm in park, pull my lights on and everything stays on, i can hammer on the gas and rev it right up high, no issues. but as soon as i put it into gear and put on the gas, thats when the fuse pops.

thats kind of what i was thinking. the original column that was in the truck had only tilt, signal lever and shift on it. the one i put in it now is out of an '83. has tilt, shift, signal/wiper/highbeam/cruise on it. so i'm assuming that i need to get the same one i had it in before. since i only started having fuse problems after the column switch.
