Default power window problem on a tahoe

I have a 2000 Tahoe that the drivers window will go down but wont come back up. I removed the door panel and ran a hot and ground wire to the motor plugin and raised the window. I thought it was probably the switch so I replaced that. After the window went down , back up and down again it wont come back up ? I am confused. Could it be the plug going into the switch ? This takes a switch for a 99 model. Please help !

Put a meter or a test light to the plug at the motor and see if there is voltage when the switch is activated. That will tell you if it is the motor. If there is no voltage at the motor then do the same thing at the switch. If there is 12 volts going to the switch with no voltage on the wires going to the motor then the switch is bad. If there is 12 volts from the switch to the motor but no voltage at the motor then it is the wiring between the 2.
