Default Problem after rebuilding edelbrock 1405

I did a full rebuild on a 1405 edelbrock and my truck runs good but now it will only start if I manually open the throttle linkingage all the way a few times. I took off the fuel inlet hose at the carb to see if I was getting fuel and yes it was under pressure but no fuel getting to the bowls. Just for kick I took a clean hose and tried to blow into the fuel inlet on the carb and there is a blockage but not at the inlet screen. Like I said if I manually open the throttle linkage all the way it starts no problem. I know I have to take off the carb and find whats sticking but can you guys give me some idea what I am looking for?

Thanks, Milo
